Podcast Editing

Hello Everyone!💗

This week Madam Azida encourage us to explore more on how to edit our own podcast. It is a pair work assessment, and my pair is Fatin Natasha; we decided to do podcast entitle Basic Culture Touch: Malay & Tamil. Tasha is the one who suggested this topic and for me it really sounds awesome! During our class on Tuesday, madam have mentioned earlier to record at least 2 minute of the conversation so it would be easy for madam to teach us on how to edit the podcast. Audacity + BandLab = tools to edit voice.

What is Audacity?
  • Free and open source audio software that applicable to anyone
  • Able to record your voice and edit the sound
  • Record live video
  • Download it now! (Linux, Mac OS X or even Microsoft Windows)

Moving on to BandLab...

BandLab need an internet connection to use it yet you need to create an account to use the software. BandLab is essentially an easy-to-use, all-in-one, social music creation platform, that is designed to be used by anyone.

During the Thursday class, madam gives us few tips on how to create a good podcast; such as, find a quite place (jamming studio) to record our voice, adjust the volume level, try to keep your mouth at the same distance from the microphone throughout the recording. The closer you are to the microphone, the louder your voice recording and vice versa. If you’re moving around all the time, the volume of your voice recording is going to change, creating uneven sound quality. ðŸ‘ˆ This is the mistake that I do most of the time. Besides, to prevent audio feedback, use headphones and ask your guest to use headphones too. I hope you will check this out, till we meet again. Bye, take care!🌻
