Hi Everyone!
Sorry for the late post, I want to share my other update on my second week class with Madam Azida. Madam taught us about Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL). Last time I learn and used it during my diploma semester 4 Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), I used to do my lesson plan. CALL actually assist students for a better learning through the computer and internet.
Something that I learned was Behaviouristic CALL which intricate repetitive drill and pratice for the students. It is very effective learning as it focus on repetition so that we can remember and learn the words easily. Moving on to Communicative CALL, which focuses on the usage of the language. It is a good approach because it encourage students' performance as it involves discussion among themselves, example; online chat which acquires them to use the language to communicate with others. Besides, Integrated CALL is being upgraded to the latest type of CALL which involve the real world materials into it.
I realize that CALL is one of the technology that is important to improve our language. Moreover, Madam Azida asked us to create design using Canva, to be honest; I just know about it when madam introduce it in the class, I never know about it before. It is really interesting!
